Judge's Statement: This piece spoke to me on a number of visual levels: the soothing and somewhat austere color palette, the composition (especially for such a small format), and the narrative of the figure being torn between love and money. Both of which, are very real human desires-that at once can be simultaneously rewarding and destructive. - Matthew Knight
AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
Wanderlust II (Florence)
This work is compositionally appealing and visually stimulating. Additionally, the manipulation of the photo is somewhat an advancement of the medium. The work also recalls the oeuvre of Abelardo Morell, whose work I adore.

THIRD PLACE AWARD
Save the Fragile Ones
This piece evokes a different sort of desire - a desire for the natural world. The sculptural quality of the work begs the curious mind to further explore. - Matthew Knight
