Last Look - Jennifer McCloskey

Paper, canvas

11"x14"

This collage specifically looks back on gender roles, self expectation, and the futility of love. In my collection process, I like to juxtapose bold neon colors to soft landscapes to emphasize danger and unrest as well as placing a large amount of dogs and animals in the background. This reflects from my other work using animals as both a guardian totem and a way to separate myself from my art and my trauma.
