Many thanks to Norman Jenson for judging this exhibition!
One should not pay too much attention to an art judge's choices. Any given art show would have a different set of winners and runners up if different judges had done the judging. I once heard an art judge say that he had given first place to an art work because it had sailboats in it and he loved sailboats.
Everyone has favorite subjects, but a judge must not favor a favorite subject.
The artists in this show are wonderfully diverse. I tried to let my conscious awareness float freely as I looked at their works. I stood back and felt whatever it was that touched me. If it touched me, I noted that.
