ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

In this workshop, students will learn how to paint fur, feathers, and fauna by using a limited color palette, as well as layering and softening techniques while capturing the personality of their subjects.

Participants will begin each day of Winton's workshop with a demonstration; she will paint some and then you will paint. You will alternate back and forth until the painting is finished.

You can choose to follow along and paint the same subject or paint the subject of your choice. The first day you will be working on the face of a fox. She will teach you a unique way to graph the drawing and then we will paint it. She will also provide a line drawing you can trace if you prefer. The second day you will paint a bird. She will provide a line drawing for you to trace or you can draw it or a bird of your choice.
