Alfred Phillips, an acrylic painter based in Gainesville, FL, has earned 30+ Best In Show awards for exhibits in large and small venues, including the prestigious Art Florida competition and, recently, the Winter Park Autumn Art Fair’s top prize. He paints using what he sees around him as reference in a style he calls Contemporary Realism mixing realism and sometimes abstract elements.
