GFAA Makes Art Happen Down on South Main.
Be A Part of It!!!
Help through Donations
Sustainability. Outreach. Support. These are three key elements that the Gainesville Fine Arts Association needs in order to pursue our mission of fostering and encouraging the study of the visual arts in every medium.
I’m excited to announce that we have an opportunity to further advance our mission, but it takes the support of art enthusiasts in the community like you. An anonymous patron has generously come forward and is willing to match dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000! But we must achieve this by September 1.
Please consider making a donation to GFAA today for whatever amount you are most comfortable with. Your $50 or $100 donation will actually translate into $100 or $200 thanks to this anonymous donor. And it will further our efforts to provide the range and depth of opportunities to our members and the community that embody our mission.
With your generous donation, again this year, we can accomplish the following goals, continuing
Month-long themed exhibits with Artwalk receptions that bring our members exposure and nurture, inform and inspire our artists and the community alike.
Educational programming to provide life-long visual arts training opportunities for emerging and established artists.
Exhibits in outside venues through sustainable partnerships, enriching the everyday life of our community.
Annual Studio Tour – this well received week-end-long tour invites the community into the studios of more than 20 established artists who share their creative process.
One of the realizations I have had since becoming President is that GFAA functions in a unique space in Gainesville’s art community that is simply not met by any other organization. The inclusive, nurturing opportunity we give new artists to learn, network, grow their skills, exhibit, and sell their work is uniquely GFAA’s province. My own experience is a testament to this, as is the experience of Michael, a new member whose partner wrote us saying, “It’s amazing to think that at this time last year exhibiting his photos was just a dream... and right now his work is hanging at three places in town.. . . and I feel grateful to GFAA folks who have believed in him and valued his work.”
Thank you in advance for your generous support. To donate, scroll up to the Donate button on top right. If you prefer, you can mail a check to GFAA 1314 S Main St., Gainesville, FL 32601. If you would like to visit with me about your donation or discuss other opportunities, please contact me at email@example.com . Your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Please respond before September 1 to double the value of your donation!!
