Angi Curreri

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Angi Curreri moved to South Florida at the age of fourteen. She earned her BFA from the University for Miami, Coral Gables and her MFA from the University of Kansas, Lawrence. While Professor of Art at Barry University in Miami Shores for 37 years, she lived in Ft. Lauderdale. Shortly after retiring, she was flooded out of her home, triggering her move to Gainesville, Florida in October 2023. Through her personal experiences she explores the human condition in her artwork. She has exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the U.S. and abroad. Her work is included in private and public collections in the U.S., Canada, Japan, Australia, and Italy and the public art collections of Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
