CALL TO ARTISTS

[JUN 20] 2022 SUMMER SHOWCASE. This is an UN-THEMED show that ALL ARTISTS working in ALL MEDIUMS are welcome to submit. Show your latest and greatest!  Submit here. 

[JUL 17] GIFT SHOP - SHELF RENTALS. Next rental period is July 17 - October 17. We have extended it one month due to implementing summer hours! Please email Lisa Klug at graphicstyle7@yahoo.com to reserve a shelf. Priority is given to artists who have not rented in the months prior. 

[JUL 1] THINGS UNSEEN. BIENNIAL NATIONAL JURIED EXHIBITION. This exhibition has different rules and regulations from our normal monthly exhibitions. This is a juried show, so you submit your work for consideration and there are Jurors who will pick which pieces are in the exhibition. It's a great opportunity for a chance to be in an exhibition with artists from all over the country! There are also $4,000 worth of awards for this show.  [JUL 8] DEADLINE FOR THE 100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY POSTER DESIGN CONTEST!!!! .We are looking for the perfect poster and T-shirt design to celebrate our 100 year anniversary next year! Please click here for submission information. There is no fee to submit and the Board of Directors is the selection committee. We can't wait to see your designs!

[JUNE 7, 1PM]  OPEN STUDIO. Come work in the gallery with other members. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE STILL HAVING OPEN STUDIO EVEN THOUGH THE GALLERY IS CLOSED ON TUESDAYS FOR THE SUMMER.
 

[JUNE 18, 4 - 6] ARTIST MEET UP AND ARTWORK PICK UP for ABSENCE & PRESENCE.  

[JUNE 20, 11 - 2] ARTWORK DROP OFF for 2022 SUMMER SHOWCASE. 

[JUNE 24, 6-9PM]  ARTWALK RECEPTION FOR 2022 SUMMER SHOWCASE. 

 

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW STUDIO TOUR DIRECTOR!

This is a paid position that would start next year in 2023. The payment is $2,000. The past two years Deb and Wes Lindberg have done it, so if you have a friend or partner you would like to work with that is an option as well (the pay would be $1,000 each then). You would be responsible for all aspects of organizing the Studio Tour including: Designing and printing the brochure, the application process for artists, and advertising & getting sponsors. Please let me know if you are interested as this year's tour is coming up and it would be great for you to attend and shadow Deb and Wes. This can be a really fun experience: working with the artists and making this very loved Gainesville event come together! Email Katy director@gainesvillefinearts.org if you are interested.
