The series 100 cartas a la luna (2023-2026) engages a tactile language through 251 paintings on paper, built from repeated, layered prints, and in many cases painted on both sides. With a nod to weft and warp structures, material veiling, and moiré patterning; many of the paintings remble textiles, hovering between image, surface, and object. One of my children contributed a large amount of first layers to these artworks, which I imagine as a collective, sustained conversation with our family member.
