In “Freedom, Freedom, Freedom” Michael Angelo uses an assortment of found objects such as chains, farm implements and a concrete cornice from a building to create this depiction of the struggle to be free. The viewer is shown a tableau of a bird desperately trying to get from the chains that binds him to a world not of his own making. It seems hopeless till he hears a “Ping” when the first chain link breaks…
