Artist Bio:

I’ve always wanted to paint, and have been very impressed by the work of local artists. I took the plunge about fifteen years ago by taking a watercolor class with Linda Pence. I was inspired by her work and teaching, and continued to paint in watercolor and then branched out into acrylic on my own. Several years ago I was privileged to be instructed in the use of a palette knife for oil painting by Jean Tyson, a friend and a fine local artist. I am especially drawn to color, and enjoy painting landscapes and abstract images. Since retiring last year, I have devoted a lot more time to painting, and have been fortunate to exhibit at the GFAA Gallery.
