"The painting depicts the interior view at the Island Arts Gallery looking out toward the south from Dock Street. Island Arts was established 31 years ago by the local artists and continues today. The locomotive on the right is a reminder that the cross Florida railroad, which was established by David Levy Yulee, the first Jewish Senator in the United States Senate in 1861. The railroad tracks went along Dock Street in front of where the Island Arts Co-op stands today.
