Peggy Mixon is a Gainesville native, born in 1935. Peggy Mixon is a Gainesville native, born in 1935. She has been a continuous GFAA member since the mid-l960s and was the Board Secretary in her early years of membership. She also chaired, arranged, and secured judges for indoor and outdoor shows. Peggy was responsible for the idea and production of a GFAA Fine Arts Calendar in 1989.

Peggy works in watercolor, pastel, alkyd and oil, and has won numerous Regional Best In Show Awards as well as one International and one National award. Her work is included in many corporate and private collections coast to coast and in Finland.
