I experience wonder in the Israeli landscape. This small painting was created from a 2019 visit to the Golan Heights. I find it amazing to stand on a mountain top that overlooks three other countries: Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. The air feels clear, cool and the sky feels endless. I feel part of antiquity. In biblical times the area is noted as the city of “Golan in Bashan”. It has the most spectacular waterfalls, Nimrod Fortress, Mount Hermon and the trails are among some of the sites.
 
I mostly feel that when I climb these mountains it is as though I was given a gift from nature.
