This piece was made during the initial stages of the Covid-19 lockdown back in March 2020. My process for this artwork is not unlike the chaotic and uncertain atmosphere brewing in America at the time. Starting with an old sketch of a lion, I allowed myself to be spontaneous and let my creativity drive my process in this piece. The end result was an artwork that changed and evolved over time much like America as it dealt with the pandemic.
