Artist Bio:
Gretchen Brooks is an award winning fiber artist and retired biology professor. Her biology experiences have provided a wealthy source of inspiration for her artistic endeavors focused on art quilting. Her art quilts have been exhibited in many regional and national quilt shows and have won several awards. She is an active member of the Gainesville Fine Arts Association, Quilters of Alachua County Day Guild, Studio Art Quilts Associates, an international organization to promote art quilts through education and exhibition. Gretchen’s work can also be seen in the Gainesville Artisans’ Guild Gallery in Gainesville, Florida.
