Woman in Watercolor 1 is a self-portrait painted during Summer 2020 of lockdown due to COVID-19. During this isolation, there were great variances in the artist's own creativity and mental health due to prolonged isolation, concern for family members and loved ones, and for individuals that had lost their lives or livelihoods. It was incredibly difficult to create and make art during a time when it felt that the world was and is in so much turmoil.
